If you have a tooth which needs to come out, it is now quite possible to place dental implants immediately after extraction and fit them with temporary tooth restoration during the same appointment.
How implants can be used to replace your damaged tooth the same day
This is achieved using dental implants with very innovative design, allowing them to be very stable and hence bear the forces of chewing right away.
This means that while your implant is healing and fusing with the bone, you are left with a stable replacement tooth to speak, eat and smile with confidence. The final tooth is fitted after a normal healing period of 3-4 months.
A full assessment of each individual patient is required to assess for suitability of this type of treatment. This can be carried out by the Implant dentist at the Salisbury Implant Centre.
In some patients it is more beneficial to have the new teeth fitted in a few months. We will advise you accordingly as to your suitability for such treatment.
